The Lions avoided a massive upset by beating the winless Manawatū 39-31 at Porirua Park yesterday thanks to a late comeback to claim their third straight victory. Manawatū more than played their part taking the lead on a number of occasions most notably after Kyle Brown & Taniela Filimone’s sublime tries after half-time.
